Launching a new digital content experience

A complex yet simple solution

To help drive engagement, we were asked to design a “content hub.” The goal was to create a content driven universe around SHI’s products and resources while saving users time and allowing them quick access to the content they are interested in. SHI’s existing brand identity made possible a complete reimagining of their blog as well as the creation of a vast arsenal of assets.

It’s all in the details

Together, with SHI’s internal team, we first did an audit of the current blog to understand the goals for a new site and how we could create a more seamless and robust user experience that would increase engagement and improve the overall experience users had on the site.

From there, we determined user goals for the different audiences and what types of content would be relevant for those audiences. With this foundation in place, we mapped the full site and created the wireframes for each key page template.

Streamlined and functional

Designing the site to be mobile first, we utilized the existing SHI UI kit to develop the design. We wanted to bring clarity to the website with the goal of simplifying the user experience. Once aligned on the design direction and functionality, we worked closely with the team at SHI to populate existing and create refreshed content for the entire site.

Ready, set, launch

SHI was looking for a flexible and secure website that a variety of stakeholders could easily access, update, and evolve. To account for this, we built the site on the WordPress CMS. 

We followed a development schedule built around a 6 week sprint to give our developers and the client team manageable review stages. We then worked closely with SHI to QA the new website and integrate with their analytics platforms.
